About

Hello! Thanks for visiting my website/blog! My name is Aaron Emerson and I am a grateful recovering addict and alcoholic. My writings mostly center around my addiction to heroin and alcohol and my eventual recovery. I am 26 years old and started using drugs and alcohol at age 14. My addiction took me down a dark road and I have been through a long, chaotic journey to find recovery, with many relapses along the way.

I update my blog – which I call Hope From Dope – as much as I can. You can check it out here. I use it to share my story of addiction and recovery. It will also contain stories of hope and occasional updates on what is going on around the addiction and recovery world. I hope you enjoy it! Furthermore, I published a memoir called To Hell And Back: Heroin And Recovery. You can purchase it through the above link on Amazon. My book contains my journal entries in a timeline format from when I was going through my heroin addiction. I have always journaled throughout my addiction and recovery and I thought it would interest people to get inside the mind of an addict. I am currently starting work on a follow up book, as I relapsed a while back on alcohol and, with the help of a wonderful rehabilitation facility, I got my life back together. Once again, thank you for checking out my site! If you get one thing out of my writings, let it be that there is ALWAYS hope.

    Aaron,
I know I don’t HAVE to wish you much success, because as I in recovery, we have heard the call of the lord! We both heard that whisper in our ear with our hearts open to know our true purpose he wants for us.
With GODS love in our hearts, and our Recovery conviction to help others who suffer any addiction, we CAN save lives. As we do, it helps us in our own recovery, and keeps us from becoming complacent. Sharing gods love through recovery is a blessing, and an Honor!
Keep up the beautiful work you do for others! You truly *INSPIRE* me!

    God Bless,
